Jacques is a seasoned Mining Engineer with 23 years of diverse industry experience across several African countries. His career has been focused on open-cast mining and processing operations across various commodities.
Beginning in 2007 as a Pit Superintendent at Sadiola Gold Mine in Mali, Jacques subsequently joined mining contractor DieselPower as a Drill and Blast Manager, Site Manager, and Contract Manager, eventually becoming Director of Opencast Operations for all of Africa, with responsibility for multiple projects, giving him hands-on experience in several African countries. From 2015 to 2019, Jacques was Mining Manager for Kropz Elandsfontein project in South Africa and subsequently General Manager for Western Areas Coal, where he spearheaded development in Zimbabwe.
Jacques has comprehensive experience across the entire mining value chain and has earned a reputation for successfully launching on-time and on-budget development projects while delivering cost-effective, on-target mining operations.
Jacques has been with the ALIGRO team since 2021.
