GCC/ Mining Engineer
Ernest is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in plant maintenance, engineering operations, and project management within the mining and industrial sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from UNISA and a GCC Mines & Works certification.
Before joining ALIGRO, Ernest served as a Plant Engineer at PPC Lime, overseeing preventative maintenance and optimization of mobile equipment, conveyors, crushers, and kilns. Prior to that, he was a Maintenance Engineer at LafargeHolcim, managing plant performance, compliance, and project planning. His earlier roles include Engineering Manager at Kalagadi Manganese Mine and Resident Engineer at North Cape Mine, where he was responsible for mine equipment maintenance and operational efficiency.
Ernest is professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and is a member of the Association of Mine Resident Engineers (AMRE). His expertise in engineering standards, risk assessments, and compliance makes him a key asset to ALIGRO's operational team.
