Pieter is a skilled geologist with 12 years of experience in exploration and open-cast mining. He holds a BSc degree in Earth Sciences and has worked extensively in pit planning, quality control, and geological resource management.
He began his career at Elandsfontein Phosphate, Kropz, progressing from Junior Geologist to Project Geologist, where he managed pit supervision and quality control. He later moved to Turbo Mining in Zimbabwe, where he advanced from Chief Geologist to Technical Manager, overseeing open-pit operations, 3D resource modeling, and processing plant design.
Pieter joined ALIGRO in 2023 as Head of Mining, responsible for mining operations and ore quality control, bringing his expertise in beneficiation and resource estimation to the team.
